NCB HOLDINGS BHD

Kontena Nasional Berhad’s parent company, a first board public listed company formed in January 1999 and engaged in the provision of management services to its subsidiaries operating in three segments: investment holding and the provision of management services; port operations, which include the management of port activities which comprises the provision of container handling services, storage, stevedoring and other ancillary services; and haulage freight forwarding and ancillary services, which include the haulage of containers, warehousing and provision of freight forwarding services.

Backed by 51 years of combined experience of its subsidiaries in running port and logistics services, the NCB Group has continued to chart its growth history of successfully pioneering change and managing and surviving the ever challenging business landscape.


NORTHPORT (100%)

Malaysia’s pioneer port, incorporated in 1985, handling 60% of the nation’s trade and bringing along with it 103 years of rich heritage in port dynamics.

With increase connectivity to ports in Asia and increase in the spread of services linking US ports, the Mediterranean and Europe, Northport has emerged as one of the most important hub ports in the region.


PERMODALAN NASIONAL BERHAD (57%)

Incorporated on March 17, 1978, Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) was conceived as a pivotal instrument of the Government's New Economic Policy to promote share ownership in the corporate sector among the Bumiputera, and develop opportunities for suitable Bumiputera professionals to participate in the creation and management of wealth.

It is one of Malaysia's leading asset managers having the expertise to manage an array of portfolios to meet the expectations of investors and their investment requirements, ensuring at all times that the best interests of its investors are protected.

Managing fund totaling about USD 50 billion, the PNB Group is Malaysia's leading investment institution with a diversified portfolio of interests that include unit trusts, institution property trust, property management and asset management.

 

MISC BERHAD (15.7%)

Malaysia’s leading international shipping line incorporated in 1968 having a strong affiliation with its parent company, Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), the national oil company of Malaysia vested with the entire ownership and control of the petroleum resources in the country.

Its principal business consist of ship owning, ship operating, other shipping related activities, owning and operating of offshore floating facilities as well as marine repair, marine conversion and engineering & construction works


LEMBAGA PELABUHAN KLANG (5.3%)

A statutory corporation established on 1st July 1963 to take over from the Malayan Railway Administration, the administration of Malaysia's Principal Port, Port Klang – situated on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia having an ideal geographical location and trade connections with over 120 countries and dealings with more than 500 ports around the world.

With a number of load centring and hubbing strategies pursued since 1993, the facilities and services in Port Klang are now synonymous to those of World class ports.
